We have gone to great lengths to reduce our carbon footprint.
Some of our initiatives include the following:
We have moved our entire Website Data Center to a location in Texas, utilizing Wind Farm RECs.
Our entire support infrastructure is built upon a virtual environment, thus reducing the number of physical computers and servers to less than 10% of what it used to be. That’s over 90% power savings in our office alone.
We discontinued the use of paper invoicing, creating PDFs and emailing them to all clients, thus saving not only paper, and envelopes, it also reduces our reliance on the USPS and makes delivery nearly instant.
We receive electronic statements ONLY for all bills as well.
Our service technicians use remote support tools thus reducing the carbon emissions from cars and traveling to each and every site to repair, or support our client systems.
Our office phones are forwarded to cell phones, Skype, or Google Voice thus reducing the need for 1 phone per desk, and utilizing phones that our employees currently own.
Our technicians use either virtual computers, or laptops to support all clients, thus storing instead of wasting all extra energy.
As you can see, we have many initiatives currently underway and many more to come.
